A new Solo Dance-Theatre (stand-up comedy with dancebreaks) ‘PANTS’ by veteran dance artist TARA CHEYENNE FRIEDENBERG.
Can one reimagine gender from inside a middle-aged body while standing at the playground caught in theno “man’s” land between the “moms” and the “dads”? Pants takes a deep dive into the shallow end of the gender binary through raw comedy and dance that crawls inside our “packaging”. Profoundly personal story-telling is delivered through alarming comedy and movement that reveals the heart of the matter. Created incollaboration with Kate Franklin(co-choreographer), Josh Martin (creative collaboration), and Joanna Garfinkel (dramaturge). "Pants is refreshing gender liberation. When a senior artist can examine how gender is experienced and lived in thebody, hilariously and frankly, it opens up the possibilities for audiences toexplore their own experience" - Joanna Garfinkel, Dramaturge
